Educational background:Hebert Silveira is an Agricultural Engineer graduated from the Federal University of Lavras. He completed his Master's degree in Veterinary Sciences and his PhD in Animal Science at the same institution, with part of his PhD studies conducted at Purdue University. He recently completed his MBA in Business Management at USP.
"My experience in NESUI and the ASIH research line (Animal Science and Intestinal Health) has provided significant opportunities in my professional and personal life. Firstly, I formed valuable friendships and learned important group dynamics. Secondly, I gained expertise in intestinal health research, a field to which I have dedicated a significant portion of my career, continuously expanding my knowledge. Thirdly, it provided me with the opportunity to live abroad and develop new communication and learning skills. Educational background:Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Lavras (2010), completed Master's and PhD degrees in Monogastric Production and Nutrition (2011/2015). Experienced in the field of Animal Science, specializing in Monogastric Nutrition, with primary focus on laboratory development of feed analysis for animal nutrition, carcass evaluation, meat quality, intestinal health, nutritional additives, and swine nutrition and production.
I can confidently say that my first steps towards a professional life took place during my time at UFLA. Participating in NESUI, specifically in the ASIH research line (Animal Science and Intestinal Health), provided unique opportunities to meet people, understand them, and grow as an individual. When we dedicate ourselves to a common goal with focus and perseverance, we achieve successes that we could never accomplish alone! Having a group to develop these skills prepares everyone for the job market, not only technically but also professionally. Despite the challenges, I only have fond memories of those times!
